Corona Virus Protection

Keeping our guests Covid Safe

The Coronavirus continues to impact on all areas of life, however, recent data and statements from the Prime Minister indicate that we have passed the peak of the pandemic. Whilst we must continue to follow the Government guidelines this positive news presents an opportunity for us to outline our plans for the reopening of our campsite.

Our top priority is the safety of our staff and customers, and we are committed to doing our best to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. We have spoken with many of our lovely customers and we know how keen everyone is to get back to the great outdoors, so we are busy preparing to re-open as soon as we can. We have introduced a number of new safety measures so that guests can feel completely safe whilst staying at Waterside, giving you the confidence to book a stay with us.

Glamping

Each Glamping unit will be fogged and cleaned thoroughly after each use. Guests will be asked to open windows and doors on departure, to allow fresh air into each unit.

A site map will direct customers to their glamping accommodation

A phone number is provided for any queries

Keys are disinfected after every stay

Additional time has been allocated in the rota for thorough cleaning of the accommodation

All staff members will wear the necessary PPE whilst cleaning the accommodation.

Camping

Guests are encouraged to bring a toilet tent (there will be no charge for this)

There will be no charging facility in the shop.

Card payments will be preferred when possible

Hand sanitizer provided in reception. Ample soap and hot water available in the toilet and shower block.

Additional time has been allocated in the rota for regular and thorough cleaning of the toilet block and reception area

Toilet and Shower Block

Please spend as little time as possible in the toilet and shower blocks

Children under 11 are to be accompanied by an adult

A maximum of 2 children per adult

Customers are to wash their hands when entering and exiting

Our main toilet block has partitioned walls dividing the toilets and showers, so each unit is completely separate.

Face masks should be used wherever possible when using the toilet and shower block. These can be purchased at reception if you don’t have your own.

Sinks in the ladies and gents are to be used for hand washing only

No brushing of teeth or face washing in the sinks. Pretend you are back in the scouts and do it at your tent with some water and a glass! Please dispose of the dirty water in the drain outside the toilet block. Please do not spit or dispose of it on the camping field.

Only 1 person per family allowed in the wash up area

Our communal freezers will not be in use.

Please DO NOT put antibacterial wipes down the toilet as this damages our sewerage pumps.

After your stay please LEAVE NO TRACE!  Do your part to keep our staff safe.

Face coverings mandatory in shop and reception

We understand this is a very difficult time for everybody, however, we want to reassure you that we are taking every possible step to keep our customers safe.
